This year has been a highlight for GEN UK as we made remarkable progress in supporting female founders, particularly through the Ukrainian Female Founders Programme, RESTART Ukraine. Excitingly, the programme has reached a milestone of 200 participants, showcasing the passion, resilience, and innovation of these entrepreneurs

Attending the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) in Melbourne provided enriching experiences, fostering valuable networking opportunities and the continued development of meaningful partnerships. This has been a key feature of my 12+ years as part of GEN, instrumental in driving positive change on a global scale.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of my husband’s sudden death. Honouring his memory, I’m reminded of the strength that emerges from grief and the importance of cherishing moments with loved ones. This sad milestone underscores the resilience of the human spirit and serves as a reminder to value and be grateful for our relationships each day.

After careful consideration and heartfelt reflection, I recently announced my decision to step away from my role at GEN UK to focus on my consultancy work. This transition signifies a new chapter in my professional journey, where I’m eager to bring my expertise and passion to the forefront, contributing to the empowerment of entrepreneurs and changemakers.

While celebrating the progress in supporting women’s advancement, it’s disheartening to acknowledge the persistent need for such programs. Having dedicated 30 years to this cause, I’m proud of the strides made but disappointed that the fight for equality persists. Our commitment to this cause must endure until every woman has the opportunity to thrive on an equal playing field.
